Good day, future students! You may address me as Ms Lily or Ms Lishaa. I am now pursuing in Degree in Malay Language at a Teaching Institute (IPG). I have taught many students with different backgrounds, and different personalities that include students from various aspects levels of understanding, difficulty in communicating, poor Language skills, poor self-esteem, and lack of discipline problems. My exposure to a lot type of students have improved me to be a better Tutor as I'm learning and improvising every day. I'm here to help you achieve excellent grades in your forthcoming examinations such as SPM and MUETS. English (speaking, reading, writing and grammar), Bahasa Malaysia, Biology and Sejarah are available subjects. For the past two years, I have also been tutoring and teaching IGCSE students (Year 7 to Year 11). I will take care of it for you. My assistance, guidance and tutoring for you is not to criticize your previous knowledge but to help to improvise it to a higher level and as well shaping you to become better in Academic and as a person.

I’m a graduate with Bachelor of Education in Mathematics (with honours). My major is Mathematics while my minor is Physics. I have started my teaching journey since year 2021 by giving tutoring for variety of subjects ranged from primary to pre-university level. I am currently a teacher in a primary school.

During my childhood, I have lived overseas in countries such as the US and China, making me a not only a tutor with strong foundations in languages but one who is culturally educated. At 13 years old, I started learning the Japanese language from scratch as a third language, which has allowed me to understand the difficulties students face when picking up a language from the beginning. Thus, I believe that I can be very understanding and am willing to patiently help students who are struggling with their work. Throughout my Secondary school years, I was consistently a D/E scorer for Literature and struggled a lot with the subject, so I understand the frustrations students feel when they under perform. However, when I came to JC to pursue my IB Diploma, I started to reflect on my mistakes and develop my own study methods, allowing me to ultimately excel in my final exams, being one of 53 students in a cohort of 400 students to score the highest grade band in English. I have been teaching English and Chinese to over 20 students in the past year, and my students have seen significant improvements in their language abilities, school assessments, and more. Additionally, while I was in JC, I regularly volunteered at student care centers where I helped Primary school students with homework. During that time, I also worked with a non-profit organization and conducted English lessons for children of the Rohingya refugees living in Malaysia, including preparing my own lesson materials and video lessons, all of which have equipped me with plenty of teaching experience for a wide range of students. Personally, I feel that the greatest advantage student tutors hold over certified teachers is our ability to empathize with and relate to students. Though such traits might seem largely insignificant, they play a crucial role in boosting a student’s confidence, which can indirectly affect their Academic performance. Additionally, as a fresh graduate from school, I am much more familiar with the school syllabuses and can provide students with up-to-date notes and model essays from top schools. I recently graduated from Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) and am currently working part-time at a Language school, teaching English to native Japanese students. I have currently received offers from various Universities in SG and the UK, and hope to make the most of my time, to help every student I teach unleash their fullest potential. Even though I have been a high scorer on the subjects I listed, I am also extremely open to helping more students who are struggling/on the low-scoring end, as I strongly believe such students deserve personalized guidance and support the most.

I am a full-time tutor. I have 3-year teaching experience in IGCSE International homeschool and tuition centre for IGCSE, PT3, SPM and STPM/A-level as well as physical offline home tuition and online tuition. I have helped many students from lower grade result to get improvement and higher marks. I am a friendly, strict and patient teacher, and I always emphasize the importance of communication with students and parents. As a Civil Engineering graduate with Honours from UTM and a current Postgraduate student, I possess strong Academic knowledge and practical experience that make me well-qualified to be a Tutor. My background includes a solid foundation in Mathematics, supported by excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. With proficiency in Bahasa Melayu, English and Conversational Mandarin, since I was studying at SJK(C) Kuok Ming, Tawau, during my Elementary school, I am confident in my ability to support students in understanding topics and achieving their learning goals.
