I have more than 20 years experience teaching English in colleges and schools. Am currently teaching English as First Language for Year 10 in an International school. I am also able to teach our local syllabus as well as the Cambridge English Assessment programme - PET, FCE and CAE. My students have done well in the exams they have taken. At the recent IGCSE exams conducted in October 2022 two of my students got A*, one A and two others B for English as First Language.

I like to tutor small groups of students - one to one or a group of maximum 4 students. I generally start my lessons by doing a review of the previous Grammar or Vocabulary taught. I do this by giving them a Pop Quiz or a related activity. For the content to be taught for the day I will take them through their textbook and explain the skills or principles being taught. I will then reinforce them by giving them exercises either from their books or supplement them with exercises from other sources. I also play word games (which the kids enjoy) or give them fun vocabulary worksheets. I normally end the class with feedback on the work done.
