I have been teaching IGCSE level, both O and A levels in Accounting, Business Studies, and English Language in international and home schools for more than 3 years. Besides, I have 7 years of experience teaching UK degree programmes in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Business, and other related subjects. I hold a Teaching Permit (where I could teach up to Master's level) and also a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning & Teaching in Higher Education (UK). Prior to my Academic stint, I have 40 years of working experience where the highest position was that of Regional Operations Director of a leading local investment bank. Therefore, I possess both Academic knowledge as well as practical work experience to teach students in a very effective manner.

During my years of tutoring experience, I have been tailoring my lessons based on the individual needs of the student. Recognizing that each student is unique and different from the others, I would first assess his/her existing standard and then customize my lessons accordingly. I do not believe in a fixed, standard approach. From the start, I would draw up a lesson plan which is in line with the examination syllabus. I would then explain to the student where his/her standard is at, what he/she needs to strengthen this standard and how I could coach him towards success in his/her examination. My teaching style includes direct explanations, plentiful use of illustrations, questions & answers to test students' understanding of each section, and a summary of what has been learned in the session. When the entire syllabus is covered, I would coach the student on examination techniques by his/her practice of past examination papers.
