I am a tutor teaching English language, Maths and Science for the Upper Primary and Lower Secondary school students. Prior to this, I was a temporary teacher at two Secondary schools early in my career, I was able to pick up the fundamentals of teaching through my own experience and other teachers who have been my mentors. This has taught me patience and perseverance needed for effective teaching and learning. I was also able to develop my teaching skills while creating a challenging and fun, learning environment for my students. I was able to further develop my skills working as a freelance tuition teacher for close to four years.

My special interest is in working with the slow-learners. I enjoy helping them catch up through careful lesson preparations, which breaks down some of the complicated concepts for them to understand better, making learning a little easier and more effective. Since there is no one approach that fits all students for effective learning, I have learnt how to incorporate a variety of approaches in my teaching to make room for different learners. I often include collaborative brainstorming sessions, compilation of notes in organizing information, animated pictorial learning and teacher-directed learning to achieve my goals in effective teaching. I also use my artistic and computer skills into full use when developing projects for my class. Along the way, I have upgraded myself by taking up two teaching courses which are Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching in IB (PGDE) that focuses into Social Studies/Science for Primary Year Program and Master in Education in IB (MED) so that I could be found worthy to be employed into any International Baccalaureate schools.
