Hello, my name is Parmita. Currently pursuing second year in Diploma In Computer Studies. I provide Mathematics (Extended & Core) for IGCSE students from Year 1 till Year 10 as well as for Malaysian Government Students for both Primary and Secondary. Besides Mathematics, I also do tutoring in Computer Science subject for IGCSE students and English Language for both IGCSE and Malaysian Government students. The key to provide a good tutoring experience to a student is to engage with them. Communicating with them visually and also testing their auditory skills are crucial. I prepare my own materials where I summarize and highlight the important parts and explain the answering method so that they can understand what they are doing. When I was a school student, I always found that engaging with the Teacher will make you love the subject and also I provide constant coaching support no matter what time of the day is. For all my classes, I create a Drive folder where there will be sub folders named notes , exercise [quiz , homework , test] , marked homework , textbook , referencing sites and recorded class. To begin with, I conduct my Mathematics class where I prepare my own notes in Google Slides. After every, sub unit I will have types of example question for the student to try with me while I explain the method(s) that can be used to find answer for the specific question. Once I am satisfied, with their response, I will proceed with the next unit according to their capability of understanding. After every class, I will be giving homework related to that class and upload the recording in the Drive Folder for the student to go through. After every class, I also will be conducting a 15 minutes quiz where I test whether the student understood the class. After completing every chapter I provide a test that they have to complete in the class with their camera turned on if its online. The same procedure will be done in face to face class but the materials will be in hard copy. I conduct my English classes by starting off with the study plan. I will do the marking in this class with my student to engage with them why they answered such for that specific question. I provide them with a very simple notes (pdf / slides) regarding the specific study plan and if it's writing class I will provide an example essay where they can go through it. After that, they will have to write down their own points where I will mark it and then, I will give the green light for them to proceed with their writing. There will be frequent quizzes and tests and more engaging in this class as to prepare their speaking and writing skill. My Computer Science class will be more to applying in practical. Where, I might give out instructions to install specific software to understand it's function and how it will help them for answering. There will be notes but more searching will be done in my class because Computer Science is a wide field and student(s) need to develop the curiosity to find more and understand better. I will provide homework and quizzes and programming activity depending to their level of understanding. All the 3 lessons, have 1 similarity where I will always communicate with my student after class hours too if they ever have any doubt. I do provide homework coaching for the specific subjects so that they won't give up on it or feel burnout on it.
