Summary
I began teaching friends in school casually to help them out with their studies but it proved to be the beginning of my part time career of tutoring. I have been teaching IGCSE and A level students for the past 4 years. I am also pursuing my degree in Mechanical Engineering In University Malaya, so Maths and Physics are my livelihood. I graduated IGCSE with 4A*s and 3As and my A-levels with A*, A and 2Bs. I sincerely believe my teaching capability is unrelated to my grades but I am obliged to show my calibre of the subject also. I also have the advantage of being very much involved in the current state of the Cambridge/UK syllabus as I have been in the routine of teaching Year 10 and 11 students who are currently sitting for their exams t. Most importantly I am a fun and outgoing teacher and aim to make my classes conducive to learning by making it a judgement free zone so the students can make all the mistakes they need to learn.

Tutoring Methods / Style
Mathematics
Maths is a very practice based subject. I find a lot of students missing key concepts that usually build on to more advanced Mathematics. A typical class would consist of me lecturing the basic idea of the topic itself and solving a few problems with varying degrees of difficulty and checking if the student is keeping pace. Here is where I would teach tips and tricks that help skip long and complicated processes that the book would typically describe. I am also open to any questions that the student might have on the spot.
Chemistry/Physics/Biology
With the science subjects, it's always like a story. My one rule for class is ‘Never Memorize’. Classes would consist of me teaching chapters in an order so the whole of the textbook becomes a storybook. Again I make sure key concepts are understood and after covering the syllabus, classes would be used to discuss past year questions, so the student gets the idea on how to answer questions also.
