Hi! I'm Ghizlane, Tutoring began as a hobby for me to assist my friends' children with their studies, but I've been doing it professionally for the past four years. I’m experienced in assisting all types of students to advance and improve academically. I lead individual and group support sessions based on the needs and abilities/levels of the students, also dedicated to instilling a love of learning in children since this generation is highly dependent on technology and I understand it can be difficult for them to concentrate on studies. There are a few teaching methods that I have tried out and now enforce when I am educating an individual to enable them to fully comprehend the topic at hand. Some of these methods are; visualization to life with visual and practical learning experiences to understand how their learning applies in the real world. Behavior management I found to be crucial to gain respect and ensure students have an equal chance of reaching their full potential, this could be done with a point reward system where they move up or down based on behavior and if they reach a certain point they get a reward to their liking. Finally, and the best I have found so far, with previous experience, is inquiry-based instruction. I pose thought-provoking questions which inspire the student to think for themselves and become more independent learners. It encourages them to ask questions and investigate their ideas, which helps improve their problem-solving skills as well as gain a deeper understanding of academic concepts.
